If we understand each others culture and ancestry we should accept that there are British who live in northern Ireland and are entitled to call themselves British, as there are also Irish who live here and are just as entitled to call themselves Irish. Isn't that what the good friday agreement was all about? So you may be British, as your forefathers were more than likely planters, but I am 100% Irish.

Respond to this video... as for ulster, it is an ancient Irish province alongside munster, leinster and connaght. It includes Cavan, Donegal, and Monaghan. Donegal is the Northernmost part of Ireland. Yet unionists call themselves proud northern Irish Ulstermen, I find this comical and ironic as Ulster was named and formed by Irish. scotland is in britain and their scottish, so your Irish, or northern Irish. As for me I too live in Northern Ireland and im Irish, have an Irish passport. My ancestors have lived hear for thousands of years, before the English? were ever near hear. My grandmother was alive before northern Ireland even existed. Yes you may call yourself British as you see that as your identity, and your ancestors more than likely came from Scotland or England, but its wrong to label native Irish British.
